With the new year here, everyone is busy trying to stay focused on their New Years Resolutions. I really don’t make resolutions. What I was given was a word for this year, “Consistent”.
My 2nd surgery was the 5th. Right after the new year. After my 2nd surgery, I realized that I didn’t have all those freezer meals I usually do. I wasn’t prepared for this unexpected event. I always thought that I was prepared for exactly these types of curve-balls.
For some people, these things don’t seem important, but I disagree. My husband of 31 years, is a great guy. He’s a hard worker and had NO PROBLEMS helping me and serving me. How much easier would it have been for him, had I been more consistent with my meal prep?
I realized that consistency isn’t about me, it’s about being prepared and being able to glorify the LORD!
Daniel was consistent! He prayed to the Lord 3 times a day! He was faithful! Even when he thought he was going to die, he stayed strong! We can never truly glorify the Lord if we’re not consistent in our worship of Him.
“ So then, dear brothers and sisters, be firm. Do not be moved! Always be outstanding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1Corinthians 15:58
It’s so easy to be swayed and to become lazy, but we’re told to stand firm!! Look at the end of verse 58. That last little prepositional phrase, “In the Lord”. Our work will NOT be in vain, IF we are “In the Lord”.
While meal planning may not *Seem* to be the “work of the Lord”, it certainly would have made our unexpected life event much easier to endure! It would have been less stressful for my husband.
I realized that rather than make a few freezer meals a month, I would make a bunch of freezer meals , and use them. This would give me gaps without any meals and as luck would have it. This was one of those times.
One of the areas that I’m trying to be more consistent in, is meal planning. I created this recipe planner with 12 sections. Each section has 15 links for individual recipes! No more scrolling through recipes till you find the one you want!!
The picture above is the one I’m using. The download has blank tabs so that you can title them any way you’d like.
How to Download the planners!
I created a quick video on how and where to subscribe to get the passwords. It’s easy and simple. Watch the video below. There is one file and that file includes the GoodNotes file, a pdf of the recipe planner and the PNG stickers.
I signed up on Gab.com. I have a group there for my blog. Mother4Jesus Digital Planners & More. This group is for anyone who reads my blog, uses my digital planners or anyone else’s! If you’re new to digital planning or a pro, come and chat with us on Gab.com
***Gab.com has been swamped with new members. I think I read that he’s getting 12 million new members a day. I’m having trouble getting on myself. Please be patient as this site has grown.
Why the switch? My reasons were not political. I like that at Gab.com they don’t own my information. They’re not selling any of my information and my photos are mine. I post photos of my children and my family, not just my blog stuff. I will continue on Instagram and Facebook but will probably limit it to just blog posts!
